Changes, domains, refunds
The rules, in plain language.
How WopCart Direct handles upgrades, downgrades, domain slots and the EU right of withdrawal.

In short
Six sentences that cover almost every case.
- Yearly upgrades take effect immediately, and the prorated difference is charged at once.
- Lifetime upgrades cost the difference between the two lifetime prices.
- Downgrades of a yearly licence take effect at the next renewal.
- Changes are never refunded or credited.
- Local and staging sites use no domain slot, up to 3 per key by default.
- You can withdraw from any purchase within 14 days for a full refund. The key is then revoked and your sites return to the free 2% routing.
Yearly
The change takes effect immediately, and we charge the prorated difference for the rest of your current year at once. Example: you move from 1 site ($50 per year) to 10 sites ($99 per year) halfway through the year. The yearly difference is $49, so about $24.50 is charged on upgrade. The exact amount depends on the days remaining.
Lifetime
The change takes effect immediately, and you pay the difference between the two lifetime prices. From 1 site ($80) to 10 sites ($150), that is $70.
Moving a yearly licence to fewer domains takes effect at your next renewal. Until then you keep what you paid for, and from the renewal you are billed the lower price.
If more domains are active than the new size allows, you choose which sites stay. If you do not choose, the oldest activations are kept. You can withdraw a scheduled downgrade before the renewal date.
No refunds or credits for changes
A change never produces a refund or account credit. An upgrade charges only the difference, and a downgrade waits until the year you already paid for has ended.
A cancelled yearly licence ends when the year you paid for is over. A lifetime licence does not expire. Your own gateways keep charging while the add-on is installed; an expired licence stops only the add-on’s updates.
Remove the add-on and the store returns to the free routing: every feature keeps working, and payments are settled through WopCart’s Stripe Connect platform with the 2% fee instead of your own accounts. Your products, orders, invoices and customer licences are not affected.
- Each production domain where the licence key is saved uses one slot.
- Local and staging sites use no slot. By default, up to 3 of them can be active on one key at the same time.
- Local means localhost, private IP addresses and addresses ending in .local or .test. Staging means subdomains such as staging., dev. or test., and the common hosting staging domains.
- Remove a domain in your wopcart.com account to free its slot, or remove the key from that site’s settings.
- If wopcart.com cannot be reached, a licensed site keeps its licence for up to 14 days, so an outage on our side never puts a fee back on your sales.

How to withdraw
Email [email protected] with your order number, within 14 days of the purchase. No reason needed.
We refund the full amount within 14 days, to the payment method you used.
What happens then
The licence key is revoked, and every site using it returns to the free 2% routing. Your sites and store data are untouched. After the 14 days, purchases are not refunded.
This does not affect your statutory rights, for example if the product is faulty or not as described.
