Every feature is in the free plugin: cart, checkout, subscriptions, software licensing, physical products, EU VAT and invoices. Nothing is locked. The only decision is whether your payments run through WopCart at 2% per sale, or through your own gateway accounts at 0%.

WopCart Direct is an add-on. You install it next to the free plugin, nothing is replaced, and removing it leaves your store running.

Availability. The free routing opens together with Stripe Connect onboarding, which is being rolled out. Until it is live, WopCart is sold with WopCart Direct, and a free download from the WordPress.org plugin directory is in preparation.

Pay yearly, or pay once. Every size includes all features, a 0% WopCart fee and your own gateway accounts. They differ only in the number of production domains.

Yearly renews automatically; cancel anytime and it runs to the end of the year you paid for. Lifetime is one payment with no renewals, covering updates for as long as WopCart is offered — the lifetime of the product, not of the buyer. Both carry a 14-day right of withdrawal with a full refund. Prices are in US dollars; EU consumers see VAT-inclusive prices at checkout, EU businesses with a valid VAT number and customers outside the EU pay no VAT.
- Each production domain where the licence key is saved uses one domain slot.
- Local and staging sites use no slot. By default, up to 3 of them can be active on one key at the same time.
- Local means localhost, private IP addresses and addresses ending in .local or .test. Staging means subdomains such as staging., dev. or test., and the common hosting staging domains.
- Remove a domain in your wopcart.com account to free its slot, or remove the key from that site’s settings.
- Yearly upgrades take effect immediately; the prorated difference is charged at once.
- Lifetime upgrades cost the difference between the two lifetime prices, for example $70 from 1 site to 10 sites.
- Downgrades of a yearly licence take effect at the next renewal. You keep what you paid for until then.
- Changes are never refunded or credited. Read the details.

The 2% WopCart platform fee, plus Stripe’s processing fees. Nothing else.
With WopCart Direct
The yearly or one-time price, plus your payment provider’s processing fees. WopCart takes nothing from your transactions. At $50 a year, the add-on pays for itself once you sell about $2,500 a year.
Pricing questions
Are any features locked in the free plugin?
No. There are no locked features and no limits on products or orders. The add-on changes only how payments are routed, and who holds the gateway accounts.
Why only Stripe and Apple Pay in the free plugin?
PayPal, Authorize.net, Mollie and 2Checkout offer no way to collect a platform fee. They need your own credentials, which is what WopCart Direct adds.
Yearly or lifetime?
Yearly costs less up front and can be cancelled anytime. From two years on, lifetime is cheaper at every size: 1 site is $100 over two yearly payments against $80 once.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of any purchase, yearly or lifetime. You get the full amount back, the licence key is revoked and your sites fall back to the 2% routing. Size changes are not refunded.
What happens when the licence ends?
Your own gateways keep working; only updates for the add-on stop. Remove the add-on and the store returns to the free routing with the 2% fee. Your products, orders and licences are untouched either way.
Is a licence key needed for the free plugin?
No. The free plugin asks for no key and checks nothing with us except the payment settlement itself. Only WopCart Direct carries a key, for its updates and its domain count.
